Founded by Wilhelm Kürbi and Carl Niggeloh at Barmen-Rittershausen in 1909, moving to Radevormwald in 1911; photographic equipment and (from 1935) camera manufacturers; camera production ceased in 1975 but brand name continued to be used for camera accessories, especially tripods.
