Founded in 1912 by Johan Steenbergen. By 1918 it was in financial difficulty and was liquidated and refounded. Camera production ceased during second world war and transferred the ownership to trusted partners since Steenbergen was Dutch. When ownership could not be got back Ihagee West was set up
