Ferguson 17 inch television receiver, with 'Halolight' Model 236 TV, manufactured by Fergusson Radio Corporation, part of Thorne Electrical Industries, 1955.

'Halolight' circuit was an illuminated mask around the picture, the brightness of which could be adjusted by the viewer. It was claimed to make the picture look 'bigger and clearer because it is so much easier to look at'. It cost £71-15s- 8d when new.
