Adams' Minex Reflex camera, de Luxe model (Tropical), c.1911. Single lens reflex camera for 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch plates. Fitted with a Zeiss Tessar lens F: 15cm f/4.5-32, No.118165 in swing mount, screw adjusted. Focal plane shutter, adjustable slit and tension 8/16/32/64/100/150/250/350/500/1000/B/T. Rack and pinion focusing, double extension, ground glass reflex focusing screen, folding hood. Circular spirit level. Rack and pinion rising front. Rotating back, automatically changing focus screen masking horizontal to vertical. Mirror returned by shutter tensioning knob. Compartment with two blockform wooden double darkslides. Brass brown teak construction. Russian leather cover. Adams and Co. Overall (deployed): 355 mm x 170 mm x 210 mm.
