The Clarion Socialist Youth Hostel was established in 1933 by the London Labour League of Youth. In 1934 over 13,000 members camped in the hostel’s grounds. Herbert Morrison (1888-1965) stands on the right. Morrison was a British Labour Party politician and cabinet minister.
