The photograph shows three men involved in the discovery of the body. The caption reads '(Left to Right) H C Price, who found blood stains on Haw Bridge, and E Bevan and H J Dudfield who found the body'. On 3 February 1938, H C Price found bloodstains, and three salmon fishermen (two pictured here) discovered a human torso in the River Severn, near Haw Bridge, Tewkesbury. The discovery led to a murder investigation which remains unsolved.
