1904 - incorporated from Alexander Hall and Company. 1914 - mine sweepers were built specifically for the war effort. 1920s - specialised in dredges, hopper barges and tugs. 1953 - Burntisland Shipbuilding Co took over the yard and joined it with Hall, Russell and Co. 1986 - shipyard closed.
